OPERATIONS IN LIFE
HOW DO YOU OPERATE YOUR LIFE?
My fur baby is a German Shepherd, her purpose in life is to stay as close to me as possible, except when a squirrel, a rabbit or a deer happen to run nearby, and then the chase takes over as her priority and she charges off in pursuit!
Right now she is in recovery post an operation to remove her spleen. So now her main aim is to recover and get better, so she can get back out there and start to do the things she wants to do again.
Life can change its perspective depending on your circumstances.
You need to know your purposes for your life:
So firstly you need to know:
1) Who you are...
2) What do you do?
3) Who do you do it for?
4) What do they want or need?
5) How do they change or transform as a result of what you give them?
Once you have worked out these 5 things, you will have purpose, direction, meaning, self worth and realisation of the value you can give to others.
SO now is the time to get cracking and make tracks!
If you have blockages that are holding you back, then work out what they are, and how to overcome them.....
Seek help if needs be, there is no shame in reaching out and asking for help, but you must also be prepared to put in the effort to make a change to your life. For you are the only one that can change yourself.
So go ahead, step out into LIFE and shine!
Have a great day!

BREAKTHROUGH IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!
HELLO MY FELLOW BLOGGERS!
Ever had those days when nothing seems to be going your way?
We all have them, absolutely!
So never give up, keep on soldiering on! Persistence will most definitely help you to stay on the road to success.
Remember those who have made many mistakes before finding their success story:....
Richard Branson was a dropout from school.
Edison had so many failures before finally making the light bulb!
Roger Bannister, the first human being to run a four-minute mile, — can be seen, not just as one of the great athletes of the past century, but as an innovator, a change agent, and an icon of success. As it turns out, when he broke through a previously impenetrable track-and-field barrier, he taught all of us what it takes to break new ground.

As it turns out, when he broke through a previously impenetrable track-and-field barrier, he taught all of us what it takes to break new ground.
Most people know the basic story of Roger Bannister, who, on May 6, 1954, broke through the four-minute barrier with a time of three minutes, fifty-nine and four-tenths of a second. When Bannister crashed through the four minute barrier even his most ardent rivals breathed a sigh of relief. At last, somebody did it! And once they saw it could be done, they did it too. Just 46 days after Bannister’s feat, John Landy, an Australian runner, also broke the barrier, with a time of 3 minutes 58 seconds.
More recently you read of the story of Russell Brunson, the kid who read junk mail! Now look at him, he has one of the fastest growing businesses on the internet, and still growing. He has got to where he has by being persistent, experimenting and learning what you as consumers want!
So reading all this inspiration may you be inspired to persist! Persist, persist and keep on persisting
Perseverance and consistency wins the day!

PROGRESS TAKES TIME - NEVER GIVE UP!
Hello my followers, to those in my tribe!
It is important to belong somewhere! if you don't have somewhere, then create a space, and invite people to join you!
So thank you for joining me on this journey. We need to realise that we belong to a large global family, that reaches out to those around us, to support and help where ever we can.
Here we want to encourage folk to step up, grasp LIFE with both hands. Let us realise our full potential and to know that we are all able to contribute value to each other.
Success comes in a group! We do not need to stand alone!
We each have different stories, and we will inspire each other to achieve! For it is in our combined success we will be triumphant! We need to inspire loyalty, trust and diligence, so that we bond together, and lift each other up!
Build relationships! Build a strong community!
We need to give time and energy to inspire each of us to do more, to achieve more, to go beyond and to know that we can do more!
Please message me if this blog is connecting with you. Is this what you are looking for?
What else can we do to reach out and help others?
Soon I will be running a Webinar to talk about Matters of Life. How to make Your Life matter....watch this space for future posts and upcoming events...
Bless you, have an awesome day!

How to Increase Sales Using Social Media

Learn how you can better market your ecommerce business through Facebook, Instagram, and Pintrest. These 5 simple tips will teach you how to increase sales using social media.
The Power of Social Media
Cherilyn and I were next door neighbors ten years ago. Since that time, we have both moved–she moved to a different state and I moved to a different city. Despite the distance of two hundred and forty miles between us, I know that Cherilyn recently started her own online business selling beauty products.
How do I know? She announced it to me and all of her other friends on Facebook. In addition, I know when she’s having specials on certain products or running promotions. And it has all been done without a cent of her money being spent on marketing.
What’s the secret? The secret is social media. Viewers of social media know you and trust you because you have a relationship. According to DEI Worldwide, 70% of consumers use social media as often as they use firm websites to gather information about products. In addition, 60-70% of people believe that recommendations from other people online are “valuable, credible, and honest.”
Consumers Online
81% of the developed world now has internet access. Essentially that means that of the countries with expendable income, 81% can be reached from anywhere in the world. Global accessibility has never been greater than it is at this time. But with that accessibility also comes an overload of information and products.
Social media can help shoppers sort through it all. Social media, such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, allows business owners to build relationships with their prospects, as well as use existing relationships to turn friends into customers.

Think about how many adults use social media while at work–just to get a mental break from their jobs. They may be on a coffee break, scrolling through their Instagram feed, when they see your business’s post. With every social media post your business makes, you’re reaching prospects during a time or place that television, radio, and print ads often cannot.
A Boost to Businesses
When a viewer sees a post, it can be almost like magic. According to Forbes contributor Jayson DeMers, “studies have shown that social media has a 100% higher lead-to-close rate than outbound marketing.” And an IDC study released in 2014, found that buyers that use social media have 84% larger budgets than buyers that don’t. That’s a powerful formula!
Most of the developed world has internet + social media users have larger budgets + 100% higher closing rate = success!
Social media can bring you more leads and more sales without investing a fortune in marketing. However, social media marketing often falls flat. So I’ve gathered five tricks to help you successfully connect with your customers.

5 Tips to Increase Sales Using Social Media:
- Post Often – By spending at least six hours per week, 66% of marketers saw a benefit from social media in lead generation.
- Use Images – Place an image alongside your text on Facebook. Posts with images have 2.3 times more engagement than stand-alone text.
- Learn to Pin – Pinners spend 50% more on purchases through the social media channel than users of other social media platforms, yet only 40% of marketers use it.
- Photograph People – When posting on Instagram, use photos of people. Studies show that photos with faces get 38% more likes than those without. So place your products with a person for a more positive response.
- Make a Video – Close to half of all internet users look for product related videos before visiting a store. Even though you may not have a brick and mortar storefront, put this statistic to work for you. Create simple videos about the products or services you sell and place them on your website as well as Youtube. Shoppers who view a video are almost twice as likely to make a purchase than shoppers who did not view a video.
(Thanks Hubspot for these great stats!)
So next time you are searching for a way to boost your sales, take a closer look at social media. It’s a great way to build your brand and boost your sales.

IT TAKES TIME TO BUILD A PLATFORM TO LAUNCH FROM!
Establishing a new business from scratch takes time.
First of all you have to learn to utilise all the new tools you need for your business.
Then you have to establish yourself on the net gaining influence and gaining clients and then you need to get leads...
Step by step you will need to go and get all these things done. At first it may seem daunting!
But with God ALL things are possible! It just takes patience: perseverance: persistence; and sometimes just sheer dogged determination!!
The trick is to never give up!
Keep on keeping on, and you will see results even if it is slow to start with. Remember, the tortoise won the race!!!
This game is certainly NOT a "Quick Rich scheme"
There are a few important rules to lay down as you begin:
Always act with integrity. Give value. Be honest, and keep your word. If you say you will do something, then do it!
You will need to build trust with your clients, and you will need to serve THEM.
It's-not-all-about-you!
So as I face another day of learning, testing, and seeing what I can master today, remember it is a journey, there will be rewards along the way, and you will see light at the end of the tunnel!
Happy Entrepreneuring!

7 INSPIRATIONAL CHRISTIAN ENTREPRENEURS
Came across this article, put together by Life By Design..Thanks to Jean.
So now you can read all about it!
These 7 Christian entrepreneurs have seen their businesses expand globally and become household names:
JOHN D ROCKEFELLER
He was the founder of the Standard Oil Company, which dominated the oil industry. Rockefeller revolutionized the petroleum industry and set the standard for modern philanthropy.
He was a devout Christian who taught in Sunday school and supported many church-based projects throughout his life. Rockefeller was quoted as saying “God gave me money”, and he did not apologise for it. He followed John Wesley’s principle of “gain all you can, save all you can, and give all you can.”
From his very first paycheck, Rockefeller tithed ten percent of his earnings to his church. As Rockefeller’s wealth grew, his giving also increased, with most of his giving going towards educational and public health causes, as well as basic science and the art.
He became the world’s richest man and the first American worth more than a billion dollars. After taking into account inflation, he is often regarded as being the richest person in modern history.
TYLER PERRY
Within a few years, Tyler Perry went from being homeless to selling out theatres. Tyler Perry is an outspoken Christian who credits his success to God. In 2006, he established Tyler Perry Studios and in 2008 it moved to its current location – a 200,000 square foot studio facility situated in Southwest Atlanta, USA.
In 2013, Forbes estimated his earnings at US$78 million.
HENRY HEINZ
Henry Heinz was a nineteenth century Christian businessman who founded the Heinz company 1869. Heinz based his business on Christian principles and proclaimed that his success was a direct result of his faith in God. Heinz was committed to bringing out the best in people and his company was credited for its fair treatment of workers and for pioneering safe and clean food preparation.
Today the Heinz company is worth around $12 billion. It’s most famous product is tomato ketchup, with 650 million bottles of Ketchup being sold every year.
CHER WANG
Cher Wang is a Taiwanese entrepreneur who co-founded smartphone maker, HTC Corporation and VIA Technologies. Her late father was Wang Yung-ching, who was one of the richest individuals in Taiwan. Wang is a devout Christian who was quoted as saying that the Bible is “the best book about management practice”. One of the most important things she has learned from the Bible is that a person must have a vision, otherwise he or she will be destroyed. The vision for HTC Corporation came during her early career whilst Wang was working in First International Computer. As she dragged bulky, heavy computers to client offices, she knew there must be a better way of designing a computer that could fit in the palm of your hand. In 1997 she acted on that vision and HTC Corporation was born.
In May 2011, Forbes ranked her and her husband Wen Chi Chen as the richest people in Taiwan. Following some challenges with HTC’s sales dropping in recent months, Forbes ranked her and her husband’s as Taiwan’s 13th richest people with a combined net worth of US$2.5 billion in 2013.
SAM WALTON
Sam Walton was an American businessman and entrepreneur, best known for founding the Wal-Mart retail stores. With his strong Christian background based on ethics and hard work, Walton excelled in school, college, and business. Early in his career, he worked as a management trainee for J. C. Penney.
In 1998, Walton was included in Time’s list of 100 most influential people of the 20th Century and Forbes ranked him as the richest man in the United States from 1982 to 1988. Interestingly, Bill Gates only topped the list for the first time in 1992, the year Walton died.
STRIVE MASIYIWA
Strive Masiyiwa is a Zimbabwean born businessman who founded Econet Wireless. South African based Econet Wireless is now a global telecommunications group with operations, investments and offices in more than 15 countries. A born again Christian, Strive Masiyiwa was quoted as saying that he reads his bible for at least 4 hours a day – if he’s busy! He tithes 10% of his annual income to his church. Together with his wife, he personally pays the school fees for over 22,000 Zimbabwean orphans.
According to Forbes, as of November 2013, he has an estimated net worth of US$600 million.
MARY KAY ASH
Mary Kay Ash retired in 1963 after being passed over for a promotion in favour of a man that she had trained. She intended to write a book to help women in business. The book soon turned into a business plan, and in 1963, Mary Kay Ash began Mary Kay Cosmetics with a $5,000 investment.
The founding principle of Mary Kay Cosmetics was known as the “Golden Rule”, upon which the company’s marketing plan was developed to allow women to advance by helping others to succeed. She advocated “praising people to success” and her slogan “God first, family second, career third” expressed her belief that the women in her company should keep their lives in the right balance.
Mary Kay was honoured as the number 1 leading female entrepreneur in American history.

PERCEPTIONS - THE BACK STORY
When you first see someone on stage, you don't think of their nerves, or what has driven them to this point. You look at a successful person, who is making a speech on stage!
You have no idea of the pain and struggles that that person has gone through to get to this point!
But if you think about it, each person has the same start up as everyone else. We all have God given abilities and talents, we just have to use them!
So be inspired, there is hope yet! God has got great plans for you.
Be creative, use your God-given imagination and see where God will lead you!
All the people you see out there started from small beginnings, so ask God for help and apply His principles and see what unfolds!
John Wesley's principle was:
GAIN ALL YOU CAN
SAVE ALL YOU CAN
GIVE ALL YOU CAN
in a future article being posted shortly you will read all about some inspirational Christian Entrepreneurs who have made a huge impact on the Business World!

5 Essentials for Doing Business God’s Way
5 Essentials for Doing Business God’s Way
So you think God has called you to start a business? Or maybe God called you to himself after you were already a business owner. Either way, you actually want to run a business in a way that honors God.
Good for you! Strap yourself in, because you are about to go on the ride of a lifetime!
Being a business owner myself and helping others run and improve their businesses, I can tell you that it’s daunting enough to run a business, but running a business God’s way is a whole other world.
This first in a series on Doing Business God’s Way we look at being called to run a business by God, for God. You want to honor God, you want to obey Him, you sincerely sense that this is what God is calling you to do. What do you do now?
Let’s look at 5 essential elements to get you started down the path of doing business God’s way:
1. Be sure of your Calling
I know you sense that God is calling you to run a business for Him and by Him, but are your sure? You need to be sure now, from the start. Don’t start the business and then ask God to bless it. Ask God first if this is what He is calling you to do. Then ask again, and again. Seek the scripture, pray, fast, get others to pray and fast with you. This first step is crucial to your success. Why?
“Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble;”
(2 Peter 1:10)
Because there will be days when you second guess yourself. There will be times when you wonder if you heard God correctly. There will be moments when you think that maybe you just made it all up and God didn’t really call you. There will even be thoughts that maybe satan actually got you to do this so he could destroy you.
That is why it is so important to be sure of your calling. Write it down, tell the story to others of how God led you to this. If you want to hear the story of how God led me to start my business, listen to this interview. If you want to hear how God led me to start Working Women of Faith, listen to this one. You’ll notice from the interviews that it wasn’t necessarily easy or quick, but it was certain.
Because if your aren’t sure of your calling, you will crumble and quit when times get tough. And trust me, they will get tough.
Be sure of your calling to run a business God’s way and you’ll stand firm when the tough times come.
2. Decide Who Owns your Business
This is paramount and something that you will need to remind yourself of constantly. Either the business belongs to God or it belongs to you, but it can;t belong to both of you at the same time.

You are about to embark on (or already have) the most amazing adventure, the most rewarding calling, the most fulfilling purpose. Owning a business. But the truth is that if God calls you to run a business, it’s because He wants to run the business through you. God can use your business as a tool in His hand. An instrument for Him to use to build His Kingdom and bring Honor and glory to himself. Is there a more noble reason for a business than God’s kingdom? Or a more perfect person to own it than God?

You are about to embark on (or already have) the most amazing adventure, the most rewarding calling, the most fulfilling purpose. Owning a business. But the truth is that if God calls you to run a business, it’s because He wants to run the business through you. God can use your business as a tool in His hand. An instrument for Him to use to build His Kingdom and bring Honor and glory to himself. Is there a more noble reason for a business than God’s kingdom? Or a more perfect person to own it than God?
“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.
The world and all its people belong to him.”(Psalm 24:1 NLT)
The truth is that God already owns the whole world and everything in it, including your business.
[Tweet “Don’t play tug of war with God, you won’t win.”]
God is a Gentleman, He gives you free will and won’t force you, but it will be easier for you if you just surrender your business to God from the beginning.
Decide that God is the owner of your business from the start and avoid the power struggle later on down the road.
3. Give First Fruits
This is the most overlooked, but elementary facets, of doing business God’s way. Give to God first and God will bless your obedience.
What do I mean by first fruits? Money. No one likes to talk about it, because money is overvalued in this world. But money is a tool that God can use to build His kingdom.
God doesn’t ask us to give to Him because he needs it. God’s not broke. He’s not standing in heaven with His hand held out waiting for you to give so he can keep the lights on in heaven.
God commands us to give to Him so that we can keep our treasure where our heart is. If we say we treasure God more than anything, but keep all of our business money to ourselves, then we are telling God we really treasure our business more than we treasure Him.
Should you give from the gross or the net? Do you give a tithe of 10% or an offering? If you have to ask then you’re too focused on the money. Pray about it and give what and where God leads you, just give.
[Tweet “Giving money from your business to God is the best investment planning you can have.”]
Don’t just give when you can afford it, give all the time. Trust me on this one. I purposed to give to God from my business and my personal life and I could regale to you miracle after miracle of how God provided financially in abundant ways.
It is the only subject in scripture where God asks us to test Him:
“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!”
(Malachi 3:10)
That’s a pretty incredible promise. God blesses our giving. We can’t out-give God.
We don’t give so that God will give back to us. God is not a piggy bank or a genie in a bottle, He is Holy, and Awesome and has given you and your business every cent taken in.
Give God the “first fruits” of your business income, because He deserves it, and it all came from Him anyway.
4. Expect a Battle
You can’t expect to decide to run a business God’s way and not expect a little flack from the devil. The devil hates you, he hates God, and is bent to kill, steal and destroy. satan loses in the end game and he knows it. satan is a sore loser. (and no, I will NOT capitalize his name, because I don’t think he deserves the honor)
satan may not be hanging around your business every day, but he certainly doesn’t want to see a business run to honor God and build His Kingdom.
If you decide to do business God’s way, you can expect a battle. The day I went public with my faith and business on LinkedIn, we had a huge snowstorm, my car broke down and my front porch caught on fire. And that was all before 9 am! I knew what was going on because I expected a battle.
[Tweet “If you expect the battle ahead of time, you won’t be overtaken by a sneak attack. “]
Expect opposition when you run a business God’s way. That opposition may come from people or circumstances, but recognize the true source and arm yourself and your business.
“A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.”
(Ephesians 6:10-12 NLT)
Make no mistake, the battle is real, but so is God. And only God can help you fight those battles and win!
Expect the battles that will come from running your business God’s way. Stay close to your Commander and you will emerge victorious.
5. Pray
This one cannot be stressed enough. Pray before you start your business, pray after you start it, pray every day before you open the doors, pray for your employees, customers, vendors. Pray.
[Tweet “You cannot pray enough for your business and the people involved with it.”]
Pray when you feel like it, pray when you don’t feel like it. Pray when things are tough, and pray when things are good. Pray regularly and pray sporadically. Pray for wisdom, and pray for ability. Pray for compassion and pray for truth in love. Just pray.

In order to run a business God’s way, your communication lines with God need to be on their full bandwidth. That means, nothing between. Keep your sin constantly confessed, so that nothing hinders your prayers. Keep your ears open, because prayer is more about listening than it is about speaking. Whatever you do, just pray.

There is a reason why God’s word says.
“Pray without ceasing.”
(1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV)
God knows how much we need prayer, so He told us to never stop praying. You and the business will need this line line of prayer more than you can imagine right now. Learn to pray.
Learn to make prayer an ongoing mindset of open communication with an Almighty God. That is doing business God’s way.
Wow, that’s a lot to take in, isn’t it?
This is just the start, the foundation, the fundamentals of doing business God’s way.
What do you think?
Have you sensed the call from God to start a business?
Will these steps help you do business God’ s way?
What would you add to the list?

Top 9 tips for starting a Christian business
Top 9 tips for starting a Christian business
Christian Minister, Paul Unsworth runs a successful coffee shop in Brick Lane, London. He is the founder of Kahaila Christian Fellowship which began in June 2012. We’ve outlined some helpful tips based on his story to get your Christian business off the ground.
- Decide on your ministry objective Paul got inspiration for this by looking at where the community gathered in a Brick Lane market. The example he gave is 'reaching an unchurched generation' and 'reaching out to the community.'
- Choose your location – You’ll need to consider your ministry budget and research property prices in the area before committing. You could also consider renting if you belong to a smaller church for example.
- Identify your target group – Understanding your target group is vital if your Christian business is going to have any chance of getting off the ground. For the Kahaila ministry, the target group was isolated city people
- The Need - This really depends on the area and community you’re targeting. For Paul, he noticed the obvious problem was isolation and lack of community in the Brick Lane area. What is the need in your area?
- USP (Unique Selling Point) – Kahaila run a café so coffee and cake is the obvious one but more importantly, giving people a sense of belonging in an individualistic culture.
- Investing in the best equipment/business product – Paul and the team determined they were going for the best and so they invested money in the top coffee makers. In the first three months they were doing four times as much business as they anticipated. So it’s popular and self-sustaining! Don’t sell your target group short in this area. The quality of your business product is extremely important.
- Events - Planning and managing events to make your presence known and keep building relationships with your target group.
- Don’t just invite Christians – When Kahaila began the coffee shop, Paul told himself if the café was just full of Christians they would be failing. So don’t forget to invite your non-believing friends and relatives!
- Branching out – the success of the café allowed Kahalia to expand into other areas of ministry. Consider ways that you can do this for your business. Kahalia opened a luminary bakery targeting women from abusive backgrounds. The women do the cake baking for the church business in order to make an income. This in turn profits the business and keeps the women out of dangerous lines of work.

THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
Just reading this morning in The Passion Translation, in the commentary section:
"We are warned not to close our hearts to the voice of One who speaks from heaven."
Therefore it is important that you develop a close relationship with Him, so that you are in tune with His voice!
He loves you, and longs for you to be close to Him!
He is the lover of your soul!
The more you g et to know Him, the more lost in wonder you will be!
I love this line: Hebrews 1:3
"The Son is the dazzling radiance of God's splendour"
How glorious is that? We can meet God in His awesome presence, and be aware of His splendour!
Be blessed today, and go and conquer in His name.
He has plans for you to prosper, to expand the borders of your tent, and to multiply, and to have a Life of Abundance and Generosity. The gifts He gives us are not for ourselves alone, but to be shared in the community, to bring blessings and to share the love of God!
Be blessed today, and be a blessing to those around you!

LIFE IN THE FAST LANE!
Learning all about Social Media and the HUGE potential on offer through it is a roller coaster ride!
It most definitely has its ups and downs! There are moments when you wonder "What am I doing?" but then you remember your WHY....
Why did you sign up for this? Why are you stressing about how to make it all come together?
Then you read:
"Your part is to intelligently formulate your desire for the things which make for a larger life, and to get these desires arranged into a coherent whole; ........
The answer to prayer is not according to your faith while you are talking, but according to your faith while you are working!" (Wallace Wattle, 1910)
Then you think to yourself "Better get cracking!"
Time to move and get the keyboard out and start out the way you mean to continue!
Time is a commodity that evaporates in front of your eyes! Life is so short, so grab the moments it offers and make the most of them!
Appreciate the good in those around you. Look at the marvellous natural things around you, the individuality of each type of bird, tree, flower! Our God is a God of Abundance! He is not short changing us on all that He is giving to us. Abundance is all around us. The Oak tree produces a crop of acorns, so plentiful that they crunch under your feet as you walk beneath its branches, yet how many actually become a new oak tree?
Apply yourself whilst you are able, you never know when you are called to surrender your life.
Smile, and reach out to those you can help, and receive from those who give to you with joy in your heart. A smile can go a long way to brightening someones day. Bless you!

6 Traits of a Successful Christian Woman Entrepreneur

6 Traits of a Successful Christian Woman Entrepreneur
I’ll never forget the day when my first business/ministry went LIVE on the Internet. I was thrilled with excitement about what the future held and I couldn’t wait to see all the lives that God would allow me to impact.
As I set out on this entrepreneurial journey, I quickly learned that while there were good days, there would also be some very hard days. Days where I not only questioned what I was doing, but days where I wondered if God would allow this “business” to grow.
After pursuing a couple of businesses, God led me in another direction, Social Media. And even though I had some successes with my other 2 businesses, God was leading me to another field, another harvest. I had to be willing to let go of my “first entrepreneurial babies.” It was hard.
As an Entrepreneur for the past 6 years, God has continually shown me specifics that allow us, as Christian Women Entrepreneurs, to #BeDifferent when it comes to our business, our clients, and the way we handle the ups and downs that come with this journey.
You see, being an Entrepreneur is not for the faint of heart. The reality is, it takes a lot of work, determination, persistence, consistency and the ability to get back up when things don’t turn out how you thought they would.
But….the benefits can be so rewarding. And I believe that as Christian women, we have been called to not only impact the business world, but to ultimately, make an impact for Jesus. And I believe there are 6 specific traits that set Successful Christian Women Entrepreneurs apart from everyone else:
- She Prioritizes: A successful Christian woman entrepreneur has learned the importance of priorities. She’s come to realize what it is in this season of life, she needs to focus on; what to say yes to and what to say no to. And because of that, she doesn’t feel guilty or fall into the trap of people pleasing. Why? Because she knows she’s following the will of God for this specific time in her life.
But with that, she has also realized that her #1 priority is spending time with Christ every single day; her business meeting with God is of utmost importance. Because she has prioritized her time with Christ, she not only has a clearer picture of the direction He wants her to walk in, but she has come to experience a deeper, more fruitful life with God; one that allows her to walk in her God-given priorities, without guilt, every single day.
- She uses her time wisely: A successful Christian woman entrepreneur has learned the fine art of using her time wisely. She doesn’t overcommit and instead of wasting countless hours scrolling through Facebook or watching shows that do nothing for her business and her ministry, she’s out and about pursuing the goals and dreams that God has given her. And because she knows what her priorities are, she has planned her week in such a way that allows her to pursue those goals and dreams while living into her priorities.
- She controls her emotions: A successful Christian woman entrepreneur has learned how to keep her emotions in check. She knows that a successful life requires that she think before she acts, before she posts, before she texts, and before she responds to that email. She has made it a habit to take some deep breaths and pray before any kind of word or message comes out of her mouth or from her hands on the computer.
- She’s a Risk Taker: A successful Christian woman entrepreneur has quickly learned that this journey requires taking risks. Without risks and faith, she will never experience the thrill of success that God has for her.
“When you risk walking into the unknown that God is calling you to, you will potentially encounter your own transfiguration moments on the mountaintop. You will become changed, from the inside out, for the better. But remember, sometimes we must die to the old in order to experience the new.” ~ Laurie Beth Jones
She learned that if God has called her and is leading her, it’s ok to walk into the unknown because ultimately, she will be changed for the better. She’s come to the conclusion that there is no “safer” place to be, than in the will and hands of Jesus. She trusts God, even if her hands are shaking.
- She’s Patient: A successful Christian woman entrepreneur knows that overnight success doesn’t happen; it’s a myth. She realizes that every little task she completes on a daily basis, is setting her up for success in the future. She’s patient with the process because she knows that God is preparing her in every way, for what He has for her in the future. And because she knows this, she doesn’t give-up after a few months. She knows that if she does her part, He will do his. She fully knows and understands that God is in control and that in His perfect timing, what needs to happen will.
- She Forgives: Lastly, a successful Christian woman entrepreneur forgives others on a daily basis. She knows that not only are people human and that she will encounter hurt as an entrepreneur, but she also knows that choosing not to forgive can keep her from experiencing God’s absolute best for her. And she wants NOTHING to interfere with what God has for her and her family.
I believe that as more and more of us truly live into the calling that God has called us to, being Christian Women Entrepreneurs, we will experience things we never imagined. And not only will our businesses be successful, but we will make an even greater impact for the Kingdom of God, which is the one priority we should all be aiming for.
This world is in desperate need of Christian women who are living into their calling. Women who are living into their priorities, managing their time will, controlling their emotions, taking risks, being patient and forgiving others.
Today, don’t be afraid to be the successful Christian woman entrepreneur that you have been called to be!
